01

Use the existing search foundation

Google says pages need to be indexed and eligible to show a snippet for inclusion as supporting links in AI features. There is no separate AI schema or special file required for AI Overviews or AI Mode.

02

Keep evidence accessible

Important explanations, sources and expert detail should exist in crawlable textual content. Internal links should make the page discoverable and structured data should describe what users can actually see.

03

Create non-commodity value

Original analysis, first-hand methods, useful comparisons and clearly sourced evidence give retrieval systems a stronger reason to use the page than another summary of common advice.

04

Ignore invented hacks

Do not split one topic into dozens of fan-out pages, stuff question variants or publish an AI text file as if it grants inclusion. Scaled, low-value content remains a search quality risk.

05

Measure with appropriate limits

Google includes AI feature activity in Search Console reporting. Analyse search performance and conversion quality, then use identifiable assistant referrals as a supplementary segment rather than an exact attribution model.
